In a time when sub-genres of rock music sometimes become so blurred it seems that cross-over
bands have become the normality. Usually this is very deliberate and a band knows exactly what it's doing from
day 1. However when four secondary school kids get together to play music, the first step is confusion over what the
hell they're doing there.
Now all the members of Dead Beat Status and found their own instrument and their own individual music
taste each of the four members brings his own different ideas, inspirations and opinions into the song writting process,
creating a sound that is both unique yet holds some comforting simularities to most genres of rock music.
This is not intentional. It is simply the way that the song writting has grown from utterly simplistic, monotonious
songs to the newer, more mature, more dynamic, songs. The songs and the band remain free from a sub-genre label
giving more musical freedom, not being tied down to one specific genre or one specific type of music listener.
The four band members are listed below, however, there are countless people that contribute to the workings of the band from
the guys that film the gigs the parents that organise gigs and allow them to use their house as a rehersal place to the bands
that have inspired the members to play instruments and make music.
Alex -Guitar and vocals - Writes the songs and sings them. He plays a Squier Jagmaster
